Product Search (Instant, No Key)

Type any product name, brand, or UPC to instantly search multiple federal recall databases:

• CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) — toys, electronics, furniture, household products
• FDA Food — food contamination, allergen, and safety recalls
• FDA Drug — pharmaceutical and medication recalls
• FDA Device — medical device recalls

Camera Scan (Groq API Key)

Point your camera at any product label, box, or barcode. AI reads the product name, brand, and UPC, then automatically searches all recall databases.

Deep Scan (AI Search)

Deep Scan uses AI-powered web search to find safety information beyond official recalls:

• Consumer safety complaints and reports
• Class action lawsuits
• Known defects or hazards
• Product safety reviews and warnings
• Related recalls from the same manufacturer

Your Privacy

RecallOrNOT uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) architecture. Basic searches go directly from your browser to free federal APIs. Camera and deep scan go directly to Groq using your key. There is no RecallOrNOT server — just static code on Cloudflare's CDN.

Data Sources

CPSC (free, no key): The Consumer Product Safety Commission provides free recall data for consumer products via saferproducts.gov.

FDA (free, no key): The Food and Drug Administration provides free recall data for food, drugs, and medical devices via api.fda.gov.

Groq AI (your key): Used for reading product labels from camera images and for Deep Scan web searches. Get a free key at console.groq.com/keys.
